20 Mil SilverBack™

Crawl Space Vapor BarrierAs a true thickness 20 Mil (.020+ inches) the SilverBack™ is among the highest rated vapor barriers in the industry. Super strong and reinforced with a polyester cord this crawl space liner is impossible to tear. The best option if you would like to use your crawl space for storage and not worry about wearing though the plastic.

The front of the SilverBack™ is white and the back is Silver. As always the SilverBack™ brand of vapor barriers are true thickness, so the 20 Mil measures 20 Mil at the plastic not the string reinforcement like the others. This means you get 22%-30% more plastic than with other products on the market calling their product a 20 Mil

The 20 Mil SilverBack™ is a perfect choice for high traffic areas or for homes that require additional storage in the crawl space. This product is reinforced with a polyester thread for additional tear strength. Use the 20 Mil SilverBack™ on the floor and the 12 Mil SilverBack™ on the walls to keep the costs inside the budget.

The 20 Mil SilverBack™ comes in 3 sizes; 6’7.5″ x 100′, 13’4″ x 60′ & 13’4″ x 90′. All sizes are stocked and ship next day or sooner.

Crawl Space Encapsulation & Vapor Barrier Supplies

Below you will find categories related to crawl space encapsulation, crawl space repair, water problems etc.

What is crawl space encapsulation?

Crawl space encapsulation is a generic term used to describe a crawl space that is protected from moisture by using a crawl space vapor barrier on the floor and walls. There are different ways to accomplish this, as well as different results, depending on the "system" you purchase. If you hire a company or franchise to finish your crawl space make sure you get the most for your money. Crawl space encapsulation alone will help reduce moisture and improve the environment of the crawl space, but there are other components to consider like; the quality of the crawl space vapor barrier, how to close the foundation vents permanently, crawl space insulation, sealing the crawl space vapor barrier to the foundation wall, conditioning the crawl space, crawl space moisture control and lowering the homes energy costs.
