i bought the santeFe compact 2 for my crawl space up north. it worked very well for 4 years, not it doesn't pull any moisture out of the air. i need to take it to get repaired. For $1200 i would expect it to last longer than 4 years. and we are in michigan where it is not very humid.

The Santa Fe Compact 70 is a rugged package that seems well designed for life in a crawlspace. It is small enough to fit through about any opening. I was able to get it into my crawlspace with a little help from my wife (I'm 68). You do need a dedicated outlet for power which I had to install first. I bought the hanging kit which I thought was a little overpriced, but I was glad I did. It made installation an easy process for one person. The ratchet lift system is great and I was able to get a perfect level set up. The rope suspension isolates the vibration from entering you floor joists. So far the unit is taking a pretty constant trickle of water out of the crawlspace. It will take quite a while to reach my desired set point because I had standing water in the space that is not completely dry. So far (about 6 days) the humidity has gone from 70% down to 60%. I also had to close off all the crawlspace vents prior to installation. The noise level can't be heard in the house so I am please with that.

All seems good so far. But too early to tell long-term reliability

Seems like a good product so far. CrawlSpaceRepair had by far the best price around. Seemed almost too good to be true, but all turned out well.

Great product

Installed this unit in our partially finished half basement space and what a difference it has made!! Have purchased units from Home Depot in the past, but they did not work as well and had short life spans. My daughter recommended this unit as hers has been trouble free and already about three years old. Ours is 6 months old, and attached to our AC unit drain easily. Keeps the basement dry and I no longer smell the mildew like odor. So far...so good!!
