I applied the barrier in my craw space and saw immediately benefits from it. The temperature in our living room went up by two degrees. Anyone one that comes to my house, I show them what I placed in the craw space.

12 mil vinyl, perfect product for the job.

After installing a French drain, sump pump and electric to the crawl space we installed the 550 felt. We then finished the encapsulation with the 12 mil vinyl from crawl space repair. Their product is absolutely as good as they promoted it to be. The crawl space remediation went well and I couldn't have done it without the products from crawl space repair. I absolutely stand behind the 550 felt the 12 mil vinyl and the other products I used for installation including the tape for seaming and for adhering it to the wall. Great products!!

18" Crawlspace

Rating:
review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
Pros:
Cons:
We had a wet, stinky crawlspace that is 18" high. The hardest part was cleaning out the wet insulation that had fallen down. Installation of the vapor barrier was actually the easy part. Don't hesitate to give the guys a call. The first space we did was 23'x7'. They suggested an approach for laying out the plastic that worked really well. Working with smaller pieces is easier than trying to do it with one big piece (unless you know how to hover with anti-gravity). We saved over $6,000 by doing this project ourselves. Well worth it. Don't forget your tyvek suit and respirator though. Insulation dust is very nasty.

2 Thumbs Up

Pros:
Cons:
It has been a year now since I installed your SilverBack™ liners and I'm still impressed with it. The basement is much dryer and a lot warmer, through last winter. This spring, which is when I used to have water laying on the dirt basement floor, there was no water. And no water showed up in any other part of the basement. 2 large thumbs up.
