This WIFi thermostat by AprilAire is the wireless link between your smart phone and your heating, cooling, air cleaning and Moisture Medic®.

When connected your smart phone, after app download, can adjust your homes temperature and crawl space humidity from anywhere you have an internet connection.

The 8620W reads Humidity WHERE it is installed. If you want the 8620W to read the crawl space humidity you will need to install it in the crawl space. Model 76 is an alternative controller that will read the crawl space humidity while being installed on the main level. If you want to control your dehumidifier and read the humidity in your crawl space, but have your thermostat control your HVAC unit and be mounted on the main level than you want the 8820W. All three are wired to the dehumidifier. See the "Thermostat Controllers" tab below to learn more about each of these controllers.

With this thermostat/humidity controller you can adjust your homes comfort from anywhere in the world, you just need an internet connection. The wifi function works with your smart phone, allowing you to raise or lower your homes temperature or humidity as well as adjust an AprilAire air cleaner or use the touch screen function. As with all AprilAire product this is a well made product and works with all AprilAire Dehumidifiers, including our Moisture Medic®.

AprilAire Controllers-(click)

8620W- This unit can control the dehumidifier from the control panel or your smart phone. To control the humidity in the crawl space this unit MUST BE INSTALLED in the crawl space.
8820W & 8082- This pair can control the dehumidifier from the control panel or your smart phone. To control the humidity in the crawl space this unit CAN BE INSTALLED ON THE MAIN LEVEL when used with the humidity sensor(8082)
76- This unit can control the dehumidifier from the control panel on the main level.
