I have to say, I was a little anxious to tackle this type of job for the first time. Once the products arrived, I had to sit and visualize the proper way to unroll the wrap, to ensure I wouldn't have to try swapping ends and such with it unrolled. Once I had my plan, the instal went pretty well. Luckily, my crawlspace has enough room for me to just have to squat or sit at the smallest section, so getting around to do the work was not so bad. The tape allowed me to do it myself, and control the layout. All in all, I am very pleased with the quality of the wrap, the tape, and the seam tape. The end result is almost like having a new house! It looks clean, bright, and invites gawks and stares from family and friends. Thanks for the helpful vids too. One suggestion would be to have a video that has hints on: best way to start; which way it will unroll; doing the corners; etc... for newbies like me!
My 600 sq ft metal building has a dirt floor and suffered from high humidity leading to mold and mildew. I placed the 20 mil with the silver side up, taped it to the metal frame and placed pins about every 18 inches. It looks great and has dramatically reduced humidity. An excellent product. I do suggest that when drilling the holes in the metal frame that instead of drilling 1/4” it was better to drill 7/32” holes. It made the plastic pins tighter.
Not as stiff as I was expecting, and that is a good thing. Pretty easy to work with.
This vapor barrier is very tough. Even over an area where I had stone base the vapor barrier didn't fail. I've crawled over it now many times and only have seen some minor strain marks on the stone. This product is tough but easy to work with. Highly recommend it!
Excellent product.
