Product is much heavier than available from big box stores, 20 mil , and installs easily tape holds seams well Well worth it for a durable long term investment. Used heavy felt under it to protect from puncture so access to the crawl space will be easy without fear of damaging the barrier

This will sound like a paid review, but is not. I have no business relationship with Crawl Space Repair, and did not know of them before searching on the internet for materials and instructions for sealing my crawl space. The shipping and materials exceeded my expectations. The materials are as good as claimed. The Silverback poly is tough and has no funny smell like other polys from reclaimed plastic. The 550 felt does a good job of adding protection over rocky soil, and the plastic tape sticks like glue yet is flexible. I ordered on a Monday and received my order that Thursday, for free shipping (12 mil Silverback). 12 mil was plenty thick and I would not have wanted a heavier plastic because it gets hard to handle around corners, of which I had many - crawlspace under geodesic dome. Once the felt was down, I walked in my socks to keep things clean, and walking over the poly did not puncture it anywhere. The job was not as complicated or difficult as I thought it would be and I'm very glad I did it.

 

After about 8 shipments spread out over a few years, I cant say enough good things about this supplier. For starters, they called after my first order and politely informed of errors on my website in a very supportive and professional manner. Also, I am just about to beat out a larger firm for our largest job ever and I do believe that by showing the client the comparison of the Cleanspace Poly to the Silverback Poly will be my final "in". The weight of the Silverback is 158% the weight of the Cleanspace 20 mil. and its white instead of blue. The information on the website provides great selling tools. Every shipment has been timely and correct. I just realized that they sell the humidity monitor that homeowners love. I have put that pretty blue light monitor in at least 200 homes and when they have guests, they ask what it is. It's well worth the extra dollars. I'm glad I have this supplier and I know a good business when I spot one.

Anyone can mess around with 6 mil plastic. This material is much sturdier, reinforced to hold up. NO ONE wants to do this work again.... mainly me. I feel like its done now and will last and looks really good!
