very good product
Very good product. For our purpose, it was the right choice. The area we covered does not get a lot of use, yet the 12 mil HSU looks like it will last a long time. The customer service was excellent. We called before we ordered any of the products and talked to one of your reps who answered our questions without giving us the sales pitch to get an order. We appreciated that because it gave us time to go back and look at the project and review what we intended to do. The website was very helpful and gives the DIYer a place to start. Delivery was quick and everything we ordered came on time, with no damage.
I have recently purchase a 12 mil crawlspace membrane, the foundation tape, the waterproof seam tape and the pins. I was very impress with the quality of the products, the crawlspace of my chalet is now clean and no more smelling or humidity. As an general contractor this is the kind of product we are looking for, I have decided to offer the product to my own customer, this is definitely way much better that the 6 mil polyethylene that the CNB suggest we install in crawlspace. The membrane is very resistant and will last for years to come. Thanks for an awesome price. André Allaire General Contractor Vita Project inc.
The 12-ml Silverback was packaged perfectly, altho you may want to put some tips for unwrapping! I was able to lay down two pieces to cover most of my crawl space, and finish with the left-over pieces, and I'm very happy with the results. My only comment would be that I was a little surprised that the 13' pieces had a seam, and the seam was not sealed down. I don't want to use seam sealer tape, but I also don't like having a loose edge that can catch things moving across it. I may seal it with some adhesive... but a minor issue. Overall, I'm thrilled with the installation information provided, the excellent customer service, and the good quality barrier.
With rock hard chunks of clay and sharp pieces of concrete debris all around, anything less then 20mil would have been a disaster. If I had to do this job again, I would have gotten 2 six foot wide rolls rather then the 13 foot wide roll. The 13 foot width was very difficult for my brother and me to manage when your on your knees and belly.
