We had a wet, stinky crawlspace that is 18" high. The hardest part was cleaning out the wet insulation that had fallen down. Installation of the vapor barrier was actually the easy part. Don't hesitate to give the guys a call. The first space we did was 23'x7'. They suggested an approach for laying out the plastic that worked really well. Working with smaller pieces is easier than trying to do it with one big piece (unless you know how to hover with anti-gravity). We saved over $6,000 by doing this project ourselves. Well worth it. Don't forget your tyvek suit and respirator though. Insulation dust is very nasty.
It has been a year now since I installed your SilverBack™ liners and I'm still impressed with it. The basement is much dryer and a lot warmer, through last winter. This spring, which is when I used to have water laying on the dirt basement floor, there was no water. And no water showed up in any other part of the basement. 2 large thumbs up.
great product just wish when rolled from manufacture that there were no creases.all the materials i received were of top quality and easy to place. just one word of caution, buy the felt backer also. i placed mine on 1/8th" limestone chip and it seems like it could poke through the liner. but all in all great product.
This company has some of the best products and great service. The 20 mil encapsulation material, seam tape, and foundation seal were better than I expected. The foundation pins were a little flimsy. Our crawlspace looks like it was done professionally and we did it ourselves with your great products. Keep up the great work.
