Used this to tape seams on my 12mil and 20 mil vapor barrier. Worked very easy and looked professional and tidy!

After receiving an expensive estimate for encapsulating my crawlspace, I decided to do it myself. This Silverback material was easy to work with in my opinion. I did most of the installation myself. I used a sharp pair of scissors to cut it. I used a drywall T and a sharpie to mark a straight line right on the back of the material.

I purchased the 12 Mil SilverBack™ to encapsulate the crawl space under our cabin. The products were all as described and of excellent quality. The space after installation looks great and there was immediate improvement by eliminating orders and moisture problems contributing to a musty smell. My husband and I just completed our crawlspace encapsulation project using the 20ml Guardian Vapor Barrier from this website. It was a grueling job (not recommended for 58 and 60-year-olds) but we got it done. It took several weekends some weeknights, but well worth it. Humidity has already dropped 35%. Our next step is installing air ventilation system then we feel our foundation will be secure. A tip I would offer is to consider coverage of your crawlspace walls when ordering materials. Our house is about 1800 sq feet so I ordered two 1,000 sf rolls, but because of all the wall space and support pillars that needed to be covered I ended up needing to order an additional 1,000 sf roll to finish the project. So glad it's done!
