The 12 mill would have been an overkill for the vertical surfaces. I bought a roll of this reinforced 6 mill and proceeded to slice it into four lengths. I just squared it up in the driveway and lined the cut with the relief cut in the concert and then ran a sharp utility knife along the groove, worked perfect.

The Waterproof seam tape was very sticky and did a great job of joining the overlapping barrier material. My only problem is I ended up running out and had to order additional rolls. I underestimated how much I needed to seal the cuts around columns and some of the additional cuts I needed to close a partially excavated crawlspace. I probably used more than necessary but I wanted a good seal and only wanted to do this one time,

The pins worked exactly as described and made a tricky job much easier. The large heads made it easy to hit the mark, as well as being a large surface to better secure the vapor barrier. The quality and design was very good and the price was much less than a tapcon. This was my first crawl space experience (hopefully my last), but the products purchased were perfect and the tech support was professional, courteous, very helpful.

The pins are very strong and durable.
