I normally do not write reviews about products or companies, but after using Crawlspace Repair, Inc. for my crawlspace project, I felt it was appropriate to share my very positive experience with their products and service representatives.

I am over 70 yrs of age and have been wanting to encapsulate our crawlspace for several years. It is nearly 1200 square feet for walls and floors. Height is about 60 inches above the gravel floor and my footer is partially exposed so I had to fold the material over the footer curb before folding it onto the floor. I researched many companies products and procedures and even secured quotes between $8K - $4K to have someone perform the work with me removing all the storage items, pallets and wall insulation off my walls. I decided to pay the $50 deposit to have Larry complete a quote and develop a plan for installation. Larry was excellent and he is filled with useful information. He suggested I cut the wall panels to 78" which would provide a 10"-12" floor overlap. This helped speed up the job. I ordered 2 rolls of 12 mil Guardianliner of 600 sq.ft. each, 2 rolls of foundation and seam tape and 100 pins. It was my intentions to install the new material over the existing two layers of heavy plastic that the contractor installed 26 years ago when we built the home. After getting the area clear it was obvious that the plastic and walls around the footer had algae growing. So we decided to remove the old plastic and I worked with Larry to get a roll of the felt liner to cover the gravel and start fresh. Larry was very helpful. It took me about 10 days from start to finish to get things cleaned up, felt installed, wall panels cut and installed and the floor placed and taped. My research of various companies and their products tells me that Crawlspace Repair Inc. is the way to go. They have the best process and products and the staff is very helpful. I would use them again but I hope I never have to do this job again. The Guardianliner product was great. I wanted to use 20 mil on the floor but it did not come in the rolls that I needed. After working with the 12 mil, it was a great choice as I had to fold the material over the footer curb and down onto the floor. While we store pallets on the Guardianliner we usually only go into the crawlspace to retrieve storage items when the seasons and holidays change. So our crawlspace does not get a lot of traffic. With the felt under the Guardianliner, I believe we will excellent service and wear out of the product. I asked for samples of all of Crawlspace products before ordering. I found the 20 mil SilverBack HS product was a good choice but the two samples I received started to delaminate so I decided to go with Guardianliner. In my opinion you cannot go wrong with Guardianliner and Crawlspace Repair Inc. for your crawlspace encapsulation project.

We installed the system in my crawl space over last weekend. Yes, I am very satisfied with the product. And yes, I am very sore, head to foot, from crawling over rocks to install it. I'm glad I purchased the reinforced material (20 Mil GuardianLiner™).

My husband and I just completed our crawlspace encapsulation project using the 20ml Guardian Vapor Barrier from this website. It was a grueling job (not recommended for 58 and 60-year-olds) but we got it done. It took several weekends some weeknights, but well worth it. Humidity has already dropped 35%. Our next step is installing air ventilation system then we feel our foundation will be secure. A tip I would offer is to consider coverage of your crawlspace walls when ordering materials. Our house is about 1800 sq feet so I ordered two 1,000 sf rolls, but because of all the wall space and support pillars that needed to be covered I ended up needing to order an additional 1,000 sf roll to finish the project. So glad it's done!
