This tape is the stickiest tape I have ever used. I have full confidence it will maintain a secure seal to the block and 20mil vapor barrier. Well worth the price.
I say "too sticky" because this stuff is really sticky. If you stick it to the wall and don't start pealing off the top layer, it's a real pain in the neck. Before you stick it to the wall, start the top layer pealing off as well, then make a 'loop' and stick it back on so it's easy to get hold of when you are ready to start hanging your wall liner. Truth be told, it's not too sticky, but when it's stuck to your fingers, you may beg to differ.
WOW! You guys are the greatest. I called several times with several questions before I purchased the 12 Mil GuardianLiner™. Everyone I spoke to was very knowledgeable about crawl space encapsulation. We searched the web and I found you guys. I called and if you told me once you must have told me 20 times to seal the vents. I could not believe this would work. I did it and ordered the GuardianLiner™, the Foundation Seal Tape, the Waterproof Seam Tape, the Foundation Pins and a hygrometer. I would never have believed sealing the vents and encapsulating would be the answer to a problem we have had for over 30 years. Had we know this last year or 2 years ago, we could have saved a lot of money on insulation. I will definitely recommend you and your company to everyone I see who says they have a moisture problem in their crawl space. I have another friend whose brother paid around $10,000 to have his crawl space encapsulated on the eastern shore of Maryland. We did it for a fraction of the cost. Excellent, excellent product and excellent, excellent customer service from Bob, Caitlynn, and Larry. Kudos! Thanks again, GuardianLiner™ User and Believer
This worked well for the 20mil SB.
This tape reminds me of the type of advise used in automotive, specificly to adhere the windshield to the frame. The tape sticks well to concrete but make sure you get it right the fist time as it is hard to remove from the plastic wrap and after pealing it from the concrete it won't stick well the second time. If I could make a recomondation I would suggest a wider backer than the tape membrane to ease the removal as it it very difficult to get an edge started.
