I ordered the 12 Mil Micorbal Guardian Liner to cover a 400 Sq Ft. orea where addition was on a crawl. Used liner, plus foundation seal tape, and waterproof seam tape. All these materiel were superior and very easy to use. In additon, the schematics and directions they supplied us made the job a lot easier! Very happy with the product. Thanks!
Just wanted to say thanks for the great service. Larry answered a bunch of questions for me, Larry recommended different products for my crawl space /application. The 80 lbs of product was shipped immediately and deliver in 3 or 4 days. I don’t write too many reviews but these folks deserve the kudos. Again thank you and thanks for the cool shirt! KS Maine
Once I saw the DrySpace solution I knew others wouldn't compare in quality. I had no problems installing the vapor barrier and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. No more musty smell and a very clean, professional looking crawl space. I am confident it will increase the value of the house at resale time.
Despite being in a crawlspace, the experience was good! The materials were quality and the How To advice from the website was very helpful. I really appreciate crawlspacerepair's belief in the DIYer. I have an unfinished basement that I regularly use, but it was unfortunately open to the crawlspace... now it's encapsulated, the humidity is down, no more smell, and a much brighter, cleaner looking basement/crawlspace (also a solution to my high radon levels). One piece of advice that I heard somewhere but didn't take seriously- be smart about how you plan to unfold or unroll the barrier- I quickly found myself extremely stuck and frustrated in a ball of barrier. The first piece took me 30min to spread out in my 18inches of crawlspace. The second piece took me 5 minutes and a lot less sweat.
I normally do not write reviews about products or companies, but after using Crawlspace Repair, Inc. for my crawlspace project, I felt it was appropriate to share my very positive experience with their products and service representatives. I am over 70 yrs of age and have been wanting to encapsulate our crawlspace for several years. It is nearly 1200 square feet for walls and floors. Height is about 60 inches above the gravel floor and my footer is partially exposed so I had to fold the material over the footer curb before folding it onto the floor. I researched many companies products and procedures and even secured quotes between $8K - $4K to have someone perform the work with me removing all the storage items, pallets and wall insulation off my walls. I decided to pay the $50 deposit to have Larry complete a quote and develop a plan for installation. Larry was excellent and he is filled with useful information. He suggested I cut the wall panels to 78" which would provide a 10"-12" floor overlap. This helped speed up the job. I ordered 2 rolls of 12 mil Guardianliner of 600 sq.ft. each, 2 rolls of foundation and seam tape and 100 pins. It was my intentions to install the new material over the existing two layers of heavy plastic that the contractor installed 26 years ago when we built the home. After getting the area clear it was obvious that the plastic and walls around the footer had algae growing. So we decided to remove the old plastic and I worked with Larry to get a roll of the felt liner to cover the gravel and start fresh. Larry was very helpful. It took me about 10 days from start to finish to get things cleaned up, felt installed, wall panels cut and installed and the floor placed and taped. My research of various companies and their products tells me that Crawlspace Repair Inc. is the way to go. They have the best process and products and the staff is very helpful. I would use them again but I hope I never have to do this job again. The Guardianliner product was great. I wanted to use 20 mil on the floor but it did not come in the rolls that I needed. After working with the 12 mil, it was a great choice as I had to fold the material over the footer curb and down onto the floor. While we store pallets on the Guardianliner we usually only go into the crawlspace to retrieve storage items when the seasons and holidays change. So our crawlspace does not get a lot of traffic. With the felt under the Guardianliner, I believe we will excellent service and wear out of the product. I asked for samples of all of Crawlspace products before ordering. I found the 20 mil SilverBack HS product was a good choice but the two samples I received started to delaminate so I decided to go with Guardianliner. In my opinion you cannot go wrong with Guardianliner and Crawlspace Repair Inc. for your crawlspace encapsulation project.
